Howell Highlander football wrapped up their season with a huge win at home against the Inkster Vikings. Howell finishes the 2011 season strong, winning the last two games handily.
Howell Wins cross-over match with Waterford

Howell opened up the first half with a 35-3 margin in this Crossover match-up. In this first time match up, Howell found over 280 yards of offense on 67% passing by Greg Cauley on the night. Howell's ground game used over 30 plays on the ground to bring the victory home. Howell was able to capitalize on the turnover happy Corsairs, Howell jumped on 2 fumbles by Kyle Johnson and Pete Cender and rolled in 3 interceptions by Jonathan Melanson, Jake Sanchez and Pete Cender, including a blocked punt by Vincent Patrido. Josh Gardner returned a kick-off 85 yards. Next week, Howell (3-5) finishes at home verses Freelance League team, Inkster (1-6).

Howell lost to Division leader, Brighton 21-42 to end its KLAA West Schedule. Watterford Mott (1-6) will host Howell Friday night10/14.

(September 30, 2011: Howelll, MI) Despite a 100 yard rushing night by Josh Gardner with a long for 72 yards, Howell (2-4) drops their home game to Milford. Next week, the Highlanders travel to take on cross-town rival, Brighton (5-1) who squeaked by Hartland Friday night 20-9.

Howell loses in 2nd half to Pinckney

(September 16, 2011: Howell, MI) The Howell Highlanders Football team took off to a 21-7 first half lead but could not hold it together after the midway break, losing Friday's Conference game against the Pinckney Pirates by a score of 37-21
The Highlanders (2-2), take the field next when they travel to Grand Blanc for a Kensington Lakes - West challenge on Friday, September 23. Howell will meets a Bobcat team coming off a 28-10 league win over Brighton. The Bobcat record now stands at 3-1 and lead the KLAA West with a 2-0 KLAA record.

The Highlanders now sport a 2-1 record. They open up conference play at home against the Pinckney Pirates, a Kensington Lakes - West challenge on Friday, September 16. Howell will meet a Pirate team coming off a 29-10 league loss to Brighton. The Pirates record now stands at 0-3.
