Offensive battle with new KLAA West Member, Grand Blanc.Howell 33 - Grand Blanc 34
Howell, MI -Tonight's battle was on the offensive side of the ball, with over 600 yards of offense between the two powerful offensive teams... and it looked like the last team with the ball would go home on top of the KLAA West.... and that proved true. Howell, behind 33-34 with 4 minutes left in the game, sacked the Grand Blanc quarterback, and he coughed up the ball as Howell got the ball at mid field. The drive began from there... but stalled when a 3rd & 5 pass attempt ended with a 10 yard QB sack. 4th and15, an incomplete pass, and Grand Blanc took over the ball to run the clock down to the end. Howell mistakes did not help with 13 penalties to Grand Blanc's 3 penalties and Howell missed two Extra point kicks that proved to be the difference in the score. Howell slides to 3-1, but continues next week against Pinckney for Homecoming.
